Piano Lessons by Indian School of Classical Music

Indian School of Classical Music is going share silent night piano lessons for the learners. Today we are going to learn silent night.  Right hand will play the melody and the left hand will play the chords. We are going to do this in 9 simple steps

1.  Your right hand 3rd finger goes on G and your left hand goes on C Chord.

2.  Your hands should go to the required chord right away. Little fingers does on D, A & your left hand plays the G Chord.

3.  Try step 1 followed by step 2. Your left hand should go down to the left & your right hand plays the C. You have got F in the left hand followed by the C Chord.

4.  Step 4 starts on A & you have got F Chord on the left hand.

5.  Step 5 is exactly the same as Step 1.

6.  Right hand comes on to D & the left hand comes on to G Chord. Step 6 is followed by Step 7.

7.  Little finger on the c & the C Chord once again on the left hand.

8.  Now play g & G Chord one with the left & other with the right.  Have a look on your thumb movement.

9.  Now play the D & the C Chord respectively.

Now try all of the steps once again successively so that you can play the wonderful melody within the specified timeline.

Learn importance of listening to ragas at particular time through Indian Music Academy


Traditional school of Indian Classical Music is based on the seven swaras using which are formed different ragas. Most of these ragas are inspired by the nature and its beauty and are listened in particular season or during a specific time of the day or night. Listening to these ragas in the season to which they are devoted makes you understand the true beauty and magic of the various ragas and their effectiveness. Disciples belonging to Indian Music Academy are taught about these nuances of Indian Classical Music with great intensity and depth so that they can create the same atmosphere through their music when they start performing professionally in the world.    

Ragas according to seasons
  
There are many ragas that are specifically dedicated to particular time of the day or seasons. During summer season, raga Dipak is most commonly sung. Similarly, in Monsoon, raga Megh, Raga Bhairav in autumn, Raga Malkauns in winter and during Spring Raga Hindol are preferably sung as the musical notes of these ragas gel well with the effect of atmosphere created during these seasons.  

Ragas according to time of day and night

Some of the ragas that are sung during the early half of the morning -6-9 a.m. are Shuddh Bilawal, Alahya Bilawal, Kukubh Bilawal, Shukla Bilawal, Sarpada and Gunakali and more.  Ragas that are sung during 9 a.m. - 12 noon include most of the Todi ragas such as Miyan-ki-Todi, Asawari, Sindh Bhairavi, Gurajari Todi, Kafi Raga, Sur Malhar raga, Deshkar raga and so on. From noon - 3 p.m. ragas such as Brindabani Sarang, Bhimpalasi, Pilu, Shuddh Sarang, Kalyan, Kafi and Gaud-Sarang are sung.  If you enroll at the Indian Music Academy you will get to learn all the details related to School of Indian Classical Music and much more.
